Summary: After breaking up with Torrie, Kerwin thinks that no one cares for him not until another diva comes through his way....

Under the scorching heat, Kerwin was cutting grasses in his yard. But, even though he has cut some of them, a batch of good grasses were also being cut. Kerwin felt a boring feeling inside himself as he dropped the scissors.

"Shit!" Kerwin cursed, plumping himself to sit on the big box, "I can't even do anything right today."

The sun even shone its rays brighter than before, giving Kerwin a sweaty feeling. He glanced about and muttered,

"I don't know why this isn't my lucky day. Earlier this month, Torrie broke up with me because of Billy Kidman. Last week I lost the championship match for the World Tag Team Titles with Carlito. Yesterday I got busted up by Shelton on RAW...this time I can't arrange my garden well. What the hell's happening to me?"

It's hard to believe I'm okay

Kerwin rested his chin on his hands, staring into space. Ever since Torrie broke up with him, He's been always crying for the diva finding someone new. Kerwin couldn't even accept, because if it's not white, it's not really right. Without even noticing, a tear slid down
the beach blonde guy's cheek.

You turned my days into nights (days into nights)
But now I see the light
And this maybe a big surprise to you...

This time, a shadow came up to Kerwin from behind. Kerwin didn't even notice anything, nor anyone’s presence not until he felt someone
tapping him on the shoulder, saying,

"Hi, Kerwin. May I help you?"

Kerwin heard this and turned around. It was Maria. Kerwin raised an eyebrow & thought, I've humiliated this girl ever since I was drafted to RAW. Why would she offer help to an enemy? Kerwin's mind begin to get confused. He thought for a while, looking into Maria's eyes. After a few minutes, Kerwin smiled and realized that, it's really right for someone to help out. He nodded and said,

"Sure, Maria."

The two of them started working on the grasses. Maria cut them with the big scissors, slowly and carefully. As they worked, they couldn't
help but smile at each other.

"Great!! I've got them finished, Kerwin!" Maria exclaimed.

"That's awesome, Maria. Thanks so much!" Kerwin said appreciatively.

"Hey heard that you're going to paint the bench along with the house fences. Why didn't you continue the task?" Maria asked.

"Uh...yeah...sometime."Kerwin muttered.

"Why don't we do it now?I'll help you out."Maria suggested.

Kerwin agreed and they started to paint the fences,starting with him,while Maria concentrated on the other side of the fence.As they finish painting each one,the two met at the middle;huffing and catching their breath.

"That was such a great task."Maria said.

"Yeah...It sure was."Kerwin said,looking onto Maria's face,"Hey!! Look at you!!! You look like an Indian!!"

After saying this,Kerwin laughed out loud. Maria stared at him. He had some paint on his face too, she thought, Maria also
laughed and said,

"Don't say that...You've also got Indian looks too!!!"

They both looked at each other in disbelief.Then,they burst into extreme laughter.

"Oh,come on.cut that out...Let's paint the benches."Maria suggested.

Kerwin nodded and they both went to paint the benches.Kerwin painted them in alternate colors of blue, red and white;while Maria painted the others in alternate colors of mint green and light peach.

"Hey Maria!You've got some red paint over there?"Kerwin asked.

"Yeah...get it here."Maria called back.

Kerwin rushed to get the paint bucket and went back to work.

Soon,the whole yard was brightened with colors,giving a shade of american post-summer rainbow. Creativity was done perfectly, and with variation. Kerwin and Maria continued to work on the yard, painting and filling up things as much as they could.

At sunset,Kerwin and Maria had finished their work.They sat on the grasses and had their snacks of blueberry and mixed
fruits,chattering excitedly as they eat.

"Great time I've had all day."Kerwin said.

"Me too...It's all in a day's work."Maria smiled.

"All in a day's work?"Kerwin repeated.

"Yeah..."Maria answered, "But we were supposed to take a rest on our day-off's."

They gazed into each other's eyes and draw the look of love, realizing that a chemistry was forming between them.Maria sat
close to Kerwin, while Kerwin moved closer to her.

"I'm glad to have you help out...Guess what,You've made me stronger after such a hard day's work."Kerwin whispered.

"Is that so?"Maria asked.

"Yes..."Kerwin answered,"Since Torrie has gone in my life, I'll show her that I can go on ."

"How?"

"Because I have you."

Maria smiled. Kerwin lifted up Maria's chin and gave her a kiss on the lips. Maria responded instantly,pushing herself close to Kerwin.
He was not the "Chavo" person she knew, but another man.. a changed man that would thank her for the help she offered. Maria felt a
slight tense up on her body while they kissed along.

Sooner or later,Kerwin broke off the kiss and felt that he couldn't move. He stood up and heard a small ripping sound, looking over to
his pants.

"Oh dear!! We must have seated earlier in the wet paint!!"Kerwin exclaimed

Maria stood up too, looking at her pants. It was also stained with wet paint, grasses sticking on to it.

"Dear me!!That was really bad...I don't know why we were so busy and sat on the wet paint!!!"Maria said.

Both of them looked at each other and burst into laughter once more. Kerwin put an arm around Maria and said,

"Uh, never mind.Care to have a walk with me on Sapphire Bay?"

"Sure!! Best offer that I've had all day." Maria agreed.

They smiled and walked together, away from the yard of Kerwin's house.
