Summary: Terri reassures Brock about their relationship

Author’s Note: Brock is trying to become a NFL player and Terri is still with the WWE

Terri sat and listened to the rude message that Brock left on her voice mail. She wanted to get mad. She should have returned the favor but something told her not to react that way. Terri knew she could not be a Good Samaritan and it not be turned around to make her look like a slut. Despite the fact the Chris Beniot is extremely happily married and would not touch her with a 10,000 foot pole, someone always wants to twist the truth.

She hated the way he threw things he supposedly did out of love in her face. She never asked to go on trips. She did not ask for the shopping sprees. She could go to LA, Melrose, or wherever and splurge. She had furs, jewelry, and clothes. She never understood the connection men made between women and material things. She was left to hold things down on her own.

She understood about divorce when children are involved. She went through that with Dustin. She took responsibility for Dakota because Dustin had other problems he needed to overcome. But Brock assumed responsibility for Gretchen and passed it on to her when he decided to go to the NFL. She never complained. When she never had someone to hold and love her, she didn’t turn to anyone else. She always was truthful about what she did and whom she did it with.

Terri walked to the window and wanted to punch it. He always asked her why she didn’t leave him when he did not renew his contract. He questioned her authenticity when she insisted that she still wanted to be with him. As much as they had gone trough with being on different shows, working with ex-spouses and just dealing with each other, why would she forget him. She even took trips to see him. She had kids in toe like a faithful person. Brock used to refer to her as his girl, his life and his world. No one understood them. Everyone suggested that she should leave him alone. She wondered if she should leave those people alone.

Terri walked and picked up her cell. She dialed the number and waited. She realized that he was probably still in practice. She had to leave him this message. She glanced at their kids. He needed to get off this jealousy and accusation trip and just trust her. Terri left a message at the sound of the beep:

Hey sweetie! It’s me, Terri. I just wanted you to know I have never cheated on you. I have always been truthful and honest with you. Stop with the why questions. You know why I don’t leave; you know why I keep this relationship real and why I’m still with you. I can’t believe that you would doubt me. It doesn’t matter if you are a great superstar or a NFL rookie; I’m going to be here. I’m gonna be around… either way you should’ve known better… I love you!

I didn’t ask to go with you to Mexico

I really didn’t need the shopping spree

And La or Melrose, boy if you didn’t know it

Now you know, I didn’t need the furs or the jewelries

Because martial things don’t mean much to me

And ever since you been gone

I have been holding us down on my own

I never ever cheated

I never ever lied

So u can stop asking me asking me why

Why I never left you, and why I kept it real

And why I’m still with you

You should’ve known better than to think I would leave

You should’ve known better than to doubt me

It don’t matter if you are up

matter if you are down

Either way I’m gonna be around

You should’ve known that I would stay by your side

You should’ve known your girl was gonna ride or die

And it just don’t matter if ya rich or poor

Out or in doing 5 to10

You should’ve known better

What makes you think that I would forget about you

Think about it who comes to see ya

Every Saturday and Monday I was on that receiver

It’s me your girl your life your world

My family your friends they just don’t understand

They say I should just leave you lone

But I say that they should just leave us lone

Don’t u get it

I never ever cheated

I never ever lied

So u can stop asking me asking me why

Why I never left you, and why I kept it real

And why I’m still with you

You should’ve known better than to think I would leave

You should’ve known better than to doubt me

It don’t matter if you are up

matter if you are down

Either way I’m gonna be around

You should’ve known that I would stay by your side

You should’ve known your girl was gonna ride or die

And it just don’t matter if ya rich or poor

Out or in doing 5 to 10

You should’ve known better

You should’ve known better than to think I would leave

You should’ve known better than to doubt me

It don’t matter if you are up

Matter if you are down

Either way I’m gonna be around

You should’ve known that I would stay by your side

You should’ve known your girl was gonna ride or die

And it just don’t matter if ya rich or poor

Out or in doing 5 to10

You should’ve known better
