The noise from outside awaken Baillie. She had hidden LaKara and herself in the spare room. She had tried to keep LaKara from Jeff’s drug related tantrums. Baillie’s arm still stung as well as the left side if e face. It wasn’t always this bad. Since he and WWE parted ways, drugs and music seemed to be his main activities. Besides trying to beat money out of Baillie, he was actually a good father to LaKara.

LaKara was always watching videos when Jeff went in his fits of madness. She eased LaKara out of her arms. Baillie was going to leave. She had to leave. She had talked with Matt, his dad and all their friends. Her true friends made her see he was going to seriously harm her or LaKara. Baillie could not make excuses. Her sister reminded her of what happened to their mom because she wanted to save their drug using stepfather.

Baillie tiptoed into the living room. She was not sure where he was. She begins to loose her tenseness when she realized he was in his music studio. She grabbed some suitcases. She moved to LaKara’s room first. She packed most of her stuff. She did not want to make anything look obvious or suspicious. Baillie had slowly moved money into a separate account. She hated that she had developed an attitude that she did not love Jeff.

Jeff was her first love. They met at one of the OMEGA shows. She had gone with a friend who was interested in someone that was wrestling. She and Jeff exchanged numerous calls and emails. Eventually she met him outside of a wrestling event and they hit it off. She did not understand why he loved wrestling at first. However, after attending some shows and discussing it with him, she gained a huge vast of knowledge. She enjoyed the wrestling getaways as she called them. Jeff traveled anywhere to wrestle. Baillie was not always able to go but she enjoyed watching the tapes.

Somewhere during this whimsical situation, Baillie fell for Jeff. She had never dated anyone as seriously as him. After six weeks, normally someone else had her interest. Jeff played his cards exactly right. Not only were they trying to graduate high school but they were expecting a little girl. Baillie began to worry how she or they would support LaKara Natasha Hardy. She began to work at a real estate agency and Jeff did landscaping for a friend’s uncle. He also did wrestling on the side. Things began to look up. He started doing WWE shows.

Baillie was excited when he signed with WWE. At first it was hard with the extensive traveling. Baillie would take time off so LaKara could spend time with Jeff and see what traveling was like. She knew then if they ever separated him from Matt there would be issues. She came home one day after Matt had moved to the Smackdown show. She was upset because she had to pick up LaKara because Jeff didn’t. She placed LaKara in her play pen. She was pissed beyond belief. She called for him numerous times. Then she realixed he was in his recording studio. It was a bad move on her part. She realized he was shooting up. She then returned to the house and began to look for his stash. She moved to the bathroom when she found it and flushed all of it away.

Baillie moved to check on LaKara and then to the kitchen to begin dinner. She was cutting mushrooms, peppers and onions for the pepper steak. He stormed in the house and went into the den. Baillie turned her back to check on the steak and felt him grab her hair. He dragged her into the living room.

“Where’s my stuff?” He screamed over and over. When Baillie informed him, she flushed them he began to make her pay.

Baillie woke up with a swollen face and an achy body. She was surprised that she was in their bed. She had on a new nightie and there were flowers… white tulips, freshly cut by the bed. LaKara sat on the floor quietly coloring. LaKara moved on the bed and snuggled next to her when Baillie moved.

“Is your daddy here?” Baillie asked in barely a whisper. LaKara shook her head no. Baillie eased out of the bed. She reluctantly picked up LaKara. She walked out into the living room. She noticed Jeff passed out on the couch. Baillie quietly asked if LaKara had eaten. As they ate in silence, Baillie knew they had to get out.

Baillie gave LaKara a bath and got her ready for bed. She moved their bags to the car. She wrapped LaKara in her blanket and moved her to the car. Baillie went back into grab her purse. She glanced at Jeff and began to have second thoughts. He looked so peaceful. Then her body ached to remind her why she had to leave. She was only 23 and her body ached like she was 73. She glanced at him and smiled before she left. She saw what she had loved.
