“She’s gone.”
“I know.”
“She’ll be back… won’t she?”
She shrugged.
“Maybe, you never know with her.
She’s always been a fly by the seat of your pants kinda girl.”
“Oh.” Was all he said.
She sighed and nudged him with
her shoulder.
“Cheer up, it could be worse.”
“Like how?” He asked anxiously.
“Well…” Her lips pursed a little
as she thought. “…she could have dissed you in front
of everyone-“ He groaned and she continued. “Oh, hang
on she DID do that. She dissed you real good too. I
could learn a lot from that girl.”
“She says the same thing about
you.”
“She does?”
He nodded.
“Tell me more.”
“No.”
“Oh go on. Stroke my ego a
little, god only knows the last time you got to stroke anything.”
“Can someone just kill me now
please?” He asked looking to the heavens.
“You know if I were still a
vengeance demon I could probably grant your request.”
He quirked a
brow.
“But I thought your whole
demon-y deal was to grant wishes made by scorned women?”
“Yeah,” She replied with a nod
and then to his astonishment added, “Scorned women and tall black men who just
last night bonked a slayer.”
