I Cant Change The World

**

Tonight would be your last performance.

That's why I'm not there. We had said our goodbye's last night, and well, I'm not one for prolonging the pain. Especially my own.

You walked into Karitos over a year ago, the same night Lindsey had wowed us all with his singing abilities, even Angel, although he would rather stake himself then admit that Lindsey can sing. Then you took up the stage and from that moment on all I saw was you. And I knew that in time I would come to mean the same to you.

As I did.

And we would be happy.

As we were.

You once told me that you had to leave your old life so you could find out who the real Jeff Hardy was. And I thought you had, I really did. But now you say you have to go back because there were people there who needed your help.

I understand that, I totally do. Since meeting up with Angel my whole life has been about helping people. But what I didn't get was you assuming I would just pack up and leave everything here to follow you. Moving away from all my responsibilities as Angel's link to the PTB is not something I can easily do. Even if I wanted to.

I guess that's where we're different.

You are continually chasing after that ultimate moment, that extreme rush you can only find by defying the law's of gravity. I have watched you put your body on the line time and time again when fighting alongside Angel, and the more into it you got the more risk's you took. You were like a child on a roller coaster. It

didn't matter to you that you had just saved someone's life, the enjoyment you got was in the game, not the salvation. In short, I guess you just never saw the big picture. And I, well, I saw too much of it.

Our time last night was tender and loving and not once did I try to talk you out of leaving. And not once did you offer to stay. The way you spoke of how Lita and Trish were being treated back in the WWE, I guess I'd have had an easier job of trying to change the world

then I would your mind.

Gee, around here apocalypse’s are a dime a dozen, yet where was a miracle when you needed one.

I may not be able to change the world Jeff, but by choosing to stay a part of Angel Investigation's, I'm doing my bit to save it.
