Dave sat in his hotel room. He was in
Hunter listened to the McMahon
chatter that existed around him. He was not sure how to express his feelings
and emotions. He knew Dave had a rare talent and charisma. He never realized
Dave would be challenging him and makes him look more like a challenger than
the champ. Randy was able to challenge and succeed but that was short lived.
Hunter tried to seem like he was not worried. However every intimidation tactic
failed miserably. He had planned this. Evolution was going to be his best
faction yet. He had recruited the best talent and with the help of Flair molded
them. So now why does he feel like a wounded animal?
Dave stepped out of the shower. He
wiped the condensation from the mirror. He grabbed his towel and dried himself
off. He began to realize his worth. He knew many discredited him as a wrestler.
He did not have mic skills and lacked a memorable
character presence. In less than 24 hours he would prove his critics wrong. He
pulled on his silk pajama pants and thought of the legends that came before
him. Everyone had doubted someone. Dave knew the doubting would cease.
Hunter laid
with Stephanie in his arms. Steph was supposed to be him security. She could dictate when he deserved the title
and why no one else was good enough. So how did Dave convince anyone to take
stock in him? Two years ago he was an OVW wannabe who was egotistical and slow
talented. Hunter knew that his track
record spoke for itself. In less than 24 hours, it would speak again.
Dave sat and cradled his belt. He
did it. He proved to everyone beyond a shadow of a doubt that he could play the
Game and beat him. He noticed
Stephanie had left long time ago.
Hunter had destroyed the room. What went wrong? Nothing he did put Batista
away. He refused to admit Batista was the better man. He did lose yes but it
was just one night. He had a track record. He was good night after night. For
once he was glad to be alone. He could plan out how to retrieve his belt. The
belt showed his greatness. For right now Batista exhibited the greatness. But
soon Hunter would show everyone what champions do.
