Summary: Trish decides to forget about her problems and reach out to help a friend

Trish sat on the plane and held Jeff’s hand. It took her two days to wear him down. She had taken time off to visit him. She noticed the yard projects still not complete. She walked in the house and became nauseated. The house was wrecked and was dirty beyond imagination. She walked through and tried to find Jeff. Trish could have cried when she found his stash of drugs.

Trish opened the bathroom and emptied the bags. She flushed the toilet and knew she had to get him to a rehab center. She sat on the toilet and sighed. After the incident with Jericho, she realized what she had to do. She talked with Shannon and Matt. They were out of options. They had tried everything that they knew to do. Trish was not letting him destroy himself.

Jeff stumbled out of the music studio. He was loosing his edge. His creativity was wearing off. He needed just one more hit to finish. He walked to his stash drawer. He cursed as everything was gone.  His needles and drugs were just gone. Jeff turned and noticed Trish sitting in his living room. He could not remember when he last spoke to her. She was a welcomed sight.

“I want you to go to rehab.” Trish said as Jeff laughed. “I’m serious. I have found a center that will not release your information I want you to get clean. I care so much for you.” Trish declared. Jeff looked at Trish and realized that she was serious. He knew she cared but he needed a hit. “Where are the drugs, Trish?” Jeff said as he approached her. “They’re gone!” Trish said as she tried to maneuver away from him. “Why did you do it?” Jeff began as he smacked her. Trish shielded her face as Jeff continued to wail on her. She had imagined that it would come to this. However she was going to stick this out. She was going to place her life on the line to get Jeff help.

Trish sat and painstakingly watched Jeff experience withdrawals. He wanted just a hit to ease his cravings. Trish refused to give in to him. She wanted him clean. She wanted him to reclaim his life, his soul, and his mind. She looked into his sunken eyes and wanted to cry. But Trish held hope that the man she loved was still in there. She remained strong through his shakes, foaming at the mouth and just everything. Trish lay next to him and prayed.

Once he got to where he could somewhat be comfortable, Trish called Matt and let him know how things were going. Matt was proud she had gotten him this far. Shannon came by and visited with Jeff. Jeff had scratched himself raw and Trish had just left the room after applying ointment to the areas. Shannon encouraged Jeff to get clean. Shannon pleaded with him to go to rehab. It was his only option. Shannon informed Jeff that very few people cared for him. Trish was the one who held hope that he could get clean. Jeff looked at Trish as she stood by the window. He felt terrible. He had attacked her when she was doing what others feared to do.

Jeff looked in from the window of the plane. Trish had convinced him to get clean and reclaim his life. She reminded him that she had let him go in order to get help. He had promised to come back to her. She had turned many men away holding onto that notion. Trish squeezed his had as they made their decent into Atlanta. She had reclaimed her butterfly.
