Part 1 - Still Got the Blues for You

**

The place was packed! Though the poster had said the venue was a quaint little Irish pub this place was huge! Chants of 'Peroxwhygen' could be heard throughout it. It had a nice homely feel and she found that she liked it.

When she had first seen the poster advertising Peroxwhygen's appearance she'd been over the moon. It had been so long since she had seen him. She had read that poster from top to bottom and her heart skipped a beat when her eyes focused on the name Jeff Hardy.

So here she was, she couldn’t resist seeing him again, seeing him doing what he had set out to do after leaving the WWE... after leaving her... and that was to make it in the music business, which he had. His band, Peroxwhygen was the biggest touring band in the USA and Canada. The guy had the midas touch.

"Is the band still playing?" She tentatively asked the barman.

"Your just in time to catch the final song, they'll be back up in a minute."

"Thankyou," she didn’t like the look he was giving her, dismissing her as one of the many hopeful girls here hoping to catch Jeff Hardy's eye. Rumour had it he was still single.

Since she was only in time for the last song she didn’t bother trying to find a seat, not that she would have gotten one anyway seeing as how packed it was. Instead opting just to stand by the back wall, the stage was elevated so she didn’t have to worry about craning her neck to see over the crowd.

A loud blast from the speakers and the crowd came to life cheering and chanting as the band made there way back on stage.

'Oh god, there he is,' her mind screamed. 'And he looks just as impressive now as he did back in... Well, back in 'that time.'

He wore baggy denim jeans, a white t-shirt and chunky caterpillar boots. He was magnificent! And she was pleased to see he hadn’t forgone on his Jeff Hardy trade mark, his hair still being all the colours of the rainbow.

"Okay people..." He spoke into the mic with his deep southern accent which had invaded her sleep for so long... and the crowd roared again. "Since this is our last performance here in Toronto,
Canada." She smiled as that statement was met with a lot of boo's from the crowd and she turned to see Jeff raise his hand to silence them.

"Since this is our last performance in Toronto, Canada... for now," more cheers rose louder then the first and he turned towards the other band members and grinned at them as they too played up to the crowd.

"I wanted to do something a little different tonight," the crowd quietened and a serious look came over Jeff's face.

The lights dimmed leaving Jeff illuminated by a single spot light.
"You see people, there's this girl,"

Trish stiffened.

"If you all could see her smile, hear her laughter witness her determination to succeed..."

'Gosh, the one time he makes an appearance back in my life and...'
Ducking her head she made her way back to the front entrance and stepped out the door not wanting to hear Jeff talk about a girl, who was obviously the love of his life.

"...she was my light...my comfort... my whole... thoughts of her still brighten my day... and my heart... Trish, where ever you are... this is for you."

He began to play the guitar he now held in his hands as he sang...

~Use to be so easy to give my heart away~
~But I found out the hard way, there’s a price you have to pay~
~I found out that love, was no friend of mine~
~I should have known time after time~

Outside:

A chauffeur held the car door open for her but she waved him away saying she felt like walking and he wouldn’t be needed until tomorrow. She slowly walked down the darkened street towards god knows where.

Inside:

~So long, it was so long ago~
~But I've still got the blues for you~

Jeff sang like he had never sung before, all his heart and soul poured into the words like he was willing them to her, willing her to appear before him.

~Use to be so easy to fall in love again~
~But I found out the hard way, it’s a road that leads to pain~
~I found out that love was more than just a game~
~Your playing to win but you lose just the same~

Outside:

Trish walked further and further away from the pub where Jeff was singing his heart out. A lone street light shone down on her and she slowly trailed her hand against a shop window not wanting to look up at the reflection staring back at her through the glass pane. Not wanting to see the tears...

...only feeling the wetness on her cheeks.

Inside:

~So many years since I've seen your face~
~But here in my heart, there’s an empty space... where you use to be~
~So long, it was so long ago~

Jeff closed his eyes and bowed his head as he gave himself up to the thoughts of the one he had left behind, feeling the music flow through him...

...feeling the wetness on his cheeks.

~But I still... got the blues... for you...~

The crowd cheered as he laid his guitar down and the spot light dimmed... but he didn’t see or hear any of it.

Jeff walked off the stage as he had done many times before... alone.

Part 2 - Out of My Head

**

~Sometimes I feel~
~Like I am drunk behind the wheel~

He turned into the car park and felt a rush of adrenaline run through him, 'I will never tire of that feeling,' He thought smiling to himself as he found a park not too close to the building but not too far away that he couldn’t see the hoard of fans lined up outside even though the arena doors had been open for nearly an hour already.

~The wheel of possibility~
~However it may roll~

Die hard fans hoping for a glimpse of their favourite super stars. In a way he was kinda here for the same reason only difference was he was hoping for more than just a glimpse.

~Give it a spin~
~See if you can somehow factor in~

He wondered if they still remembered him. It had been years since he had graced any arena with his presence, they brought back too many memories he hadn’t wanted to think about, some good some not so good, but one memory in particular.

-Flashback-

"You’re leaving?"

~You know there’s always more then one way~
~To say exactly what you mean to say~

He hadn’t known what to say then, he knew it had to be hurting her god it was hurting him! So he had said nothing just kept his back turned so she wouldn’t see how much he was hurting.

~Was I outta my head was I outta my mind~
~How could I have ever been so blind~

He remembered seeing her reflection in the mirror and turned away from that too but the picture of all the hurt and confusion on her face stayed etched in his mind.

~I was waiting for an indication...~
~It was hard to find~

He didn’t know how long he had stayed like that but when he finally turned around to face her... all he had been met with was a swinging door...

-End flashback-

~Don’t matter what I say only what I do~
~I never meant to do bad things to you~
~So quiet but I finally woke up~
~If your sad then its time you spoke up too...~

He opened the car door and got out locking the door behind him slipping the VIP Pass over his head to dangle at his chest as he headed over to the side entrance. He had to stop for a minute to mentally get a hold of himself. He couldn’t believe how nervous he was.

People had once called him fearless and risk taker yet here he was with sweaty palms and butterflies dancing around inside him!

"Get it together, Hardy!" He scolded himself bouncing on the balls of his feet a few times before approaching the security guard holding up his pass for inspection.

'Thank god for friends in high places,' He thought, the guard waving him inside immediately.

Thankful that the hallway was deserted he half walked half jogged passed locker room after locker room till he found the one he was looking for, the one with the gold star.

Jeff nervously wiped his hands down the side of his jeans taking a couple of deep breaths before lifting his hand to tap lightly on the door.

~So quiet but I finally woke up~
~If your sad then its time you spoke up too...~

"Who is it?"

Part 3 - I Want To Love You Madly

**

"Who is it?" she called as she sat on a bench in her locker room...tired and alone... with absolutely too much time on her hands. Too much time with nothing to do led to thinking... thinking not a good thing when there was only one thing on her mind.

The knocking sounded again.

"Who is it!"

Still in her ring clothes she got up and walked to open the door when the knocking came yet again.

"I said wh-"

She didn’t have time to respond when in the space of a few seconds someone’s lips were on hers... familiar lips... and someone’s fingers were threading themselves through her hair... familiar fingers.

~I want to love you madly~
~I want to love you now~
~I want to love you madly~
~I want to love you, love you, love you madly~

He tasted exactly how she remembered... sweet, natural... lasting. She smiled raking her fingers through his hair. God, how had she lasted this long without him... she was addicted to his taste... his feel... his touch.

~I don't want to think about it, I don't want to talk about it~
~When I kiss your lips I want to sink down to the bottom of the sea~

Her fingers found the pulse rapidly beating at his throat and she almost groaned when he pulled her up more fully against him.

"Jeff..." She heard herself whisper before her tongue plunged itself inside his mouth.

~I want to love you madly~
~I want to love you now~
~I want to love you madly~
~I want to love you, love you, love you madly~

"I've missed you," She whispered her mouth leaving his to glide down the side of his neck to tantalise the spot just below his ear.

Trish gasped when she felt his thumb brush over her nipple as his hand slid up between their bodies... his lips once again seeking hers as he pushed her back against the lockers. She felt the back of her head hit the front of the lockers but she didn’t care.

She was on fire... he her only saviour!

~I want to love you madly~
~I want to love you now~
~I want to love you madly~
~I want to love you, love you, love you madly~

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Huh? What?"

Her eyes snapped open and she sprang up from the bench she had been seated on only to land with a thump on the floor. A hopeful glance around the room proved fruitless... she was still alone.

'Your pathetic,' She quietly berated herself as she stood rubbing her now sore palms down the front of her ring pants trying not to cry... she had cried enough already.

Lifting her head and squaring her shoulders she turned to face who ever it was on the other side of the door who wouldn’t leave her alone.

"Who is it?"

part 4 - Love of My Life

**

~Where you are, that's where I wanna be~
~And through your eyes, are all the things I wanna see~
~And in the night, you are my dream~
~You're everything to me~

"I love you."

At first the words didn’t register, her mind too full of him. Of HIM... here, now... in the flesh! After she had, 'Oh my god!' Her face turning all shades of purple as she realised what thoughts he had interrupted just moments before.

She sat across from him her back pressed against the lockers. She looked exhausted. Lifting her hand she hastily stuck her bangs behind her ears, all traces of make up gone. All traces of the character Trish Stratus gone. And she was beautiful.

"I love you." He said again a little louder.

He stepped forward and kneeled before her so they were on the same eye level.

In her eyes he saw confusion, distrust and hurt... all the things he had planted there. But somehow he had to make her see...

~You're the love, of my life~
~And the breath, in my prayers~
~Take my hand, lead me there~
~What I need is you here~

Leaning closer letting there breath mingle he placed his lips on hers... softly... teasingly. Her eyes fluttered closed and her hand found its way to his chest.

It had been so long... warm suckles accompanied by low moans as his tongue traced the outside of her lips... he inhaled a much needed breath as he rested his forehead against hers.

"Trish..."

His breath was rugged, heavy, strained with the need for control.

"Don’t stop..."

~I can't forget the taste of your mouth~
~From your lips all the heavens pour out~
~I can't forget when we are one~
~It's you alone and I am free~

Hazel eyes flashed when he heard her barely audible whisper. In two seconds his lips were hungrily consuming hers, his arms banding around her waist as he pulled her spread eagled against his kneeling form.

His lips left hers to trace the tip of her chin, moving down her neck lightly nipping at the pulse point that now beat erratically against his lips.

~Everyday, every night, you alone~
~You're the love of my life~

"Pinch me,"

"Huh?"

"Pinch me... so I know this isn’t just another fantasy..."

Jeff smiled doing as she asked.

"Ow!" She jumped a little in his arms giving him more of an opportunity to bring her flush up against his chest.

"Okay, its official... you’re not a dream."

"Tel-"

"Jeff?" She breathed touching his lips with her finger stilling his reply.

"Hmmm?"

"Shut up and kiss me."

~Everyday, every night, you alone~
~You're the love of my life~
