Summary: After receiving word of release, Gail turns to Dave to be her everything

Dave entered the hotel room. He had heard the news. He hated that it happened. He did not like this part of the business. They had worked though so much to get to this point. So many thoughts passed through his head. What would she do? There was that damn no compete clause. But then he realized he needed to concentrate on Gail right now.

Gail sat on the balcony. She wiped her eyes. She knew it was coming. She could tell by the return of the Diva Search contestants. Half of those girls were Playboy models. She thought she was enticing enough. She was Korean-Canadian. She was in an angle with Trish and then... Gail kicked the railing and moved her hair from her face. She had not called Dave. She was not sure what he had on his agenda. When she heard the sliding door, she realized it was second to her.

Dave found her and eased her up. He sat behind her and held her. He spoke softly to her. Gail melted into his arms. She turned her ear to hear him. Despite it all, Dave was her light. He kept her sane and always led her to her place where she could find peace.

Dave suggested that she finish out the loop with him. He had to keep her walking. He was her strength. They were both strong but at certain moments, one became stronger than the other. He had to keep her trusting but being her hopeful one. He was the light to her soul. Dave sat there and was moved by her tears. This was the woman he loved and nothing would change that.

Gail's tears began to subside. There was something about being Dave's arms. He made the worst storms become still and encouraged her to rest. She looked at his hands and thought of all the times he refused to let her fail. She looked out onto the city and felt her heart beating. There is this one look he can give to make it still. He could smile and take her breath away. He took her in when everyone else wrote her off. She wondered if he would take her deeper now.

Dave turned her to face him. He kissed her and whispered to her slowly she is all that he wanted. She is all that he needed. She is his everything. They stood up and walked into the hotel room. He looked at her and noticed that she smiled. How could it be any better than this?
