Summary: Stephanie reminiscences about her relationship with Andrew
Stephanie sat and looked out the window. She was waiting on Paul to finish his meeting. She was excited that they had finally gotten married. She was scared that their past relationships would hinder them from moving on and taking that next step. She still carried scars as well. She noticed Andrew as he sat across the room. Stephanie gave a wave as he caught her glances. Things were not that bad between them. Stephanie just needed someone who was going somewhere. Vince did not really like Andrew and Andrew let it be known he only tolerated Vince because of who he was.
She often sat and fantasized about how things would have been with Andrew. She did not feel that Andrew was with her to advance his career. He was just with her, Stephanie. He loved her, not the persona she had on television. When she had to end things with Andrew, she shed so many tears. Although they left behind on stain, the pain that caused them did. Apparently time does not heal all wounds. She felt something for Andrew; it was something close to love but the light faded too soon for it to develop.
Stephanie noticed Stacy as she walked over to Andrew. She was his girlfriend now. Not that it mattered to her, she was married to Paul. Stephanie saw a quote and it said that on this earth is just a world of dust and stars.
We're trapped between heaven and everything else. Everyone has a path and travels as spirits. The only thing that truly endures is the love we give. Stephanie sighed and looked away. She wondered how she crossed with a man like Andrew. She wondered if their love continued to endure even though they were apart.
Stacy leaned in and kissed Andrew. Stephanie quickly snapped out of her thoughts. What they had was gone. But for some reason she would still remember Andrew. She always thought of him as a rose after the rain. Stephanie looks away from Andrew and Stacy. Their time was over. Their footprints in the sand were washed away. They were experiencing new days. She would be lying if she did not admit that she still dreamed of him. Paul was a man her father would have cloned for her. She adored him but she lost something when she left Andrew. She wonders not often but in times like this how she carries on. It?s alright that she thinks of the lost love she knew. But Daddy always she to you own heart be true. Stephanie exited the room to wait somewhere else. She caught part of a song that caused her to smile because it said it all?
Tears will leave no stain
Time will ease the pain
For every light that fades
Something beautiful remains
**********************************************************************************************************************************************
Tears will leave no stain
Time will ease the pain
For every light that fades
Something beautiful remains
We're living in a world of stars and dust
Between heaven and all that surrounds us
We're travelers here, spirits passing through
And the love we give, is all that will endure
Hey now, what we had is gone
But I still remember you
Just like a rose after the rain
Something beautiful remains
Tears will leave no stain
Time will ease the pain
For every light that fades
Something beautiful remains
Now the darkness falls, the sun's going down
One by one, the stars are coming out
Tide comes in, washes footprints from the sand
As one day ends, a new day must begin
Hey now, though we are apart
You're here forever in my dreams
Hey now, love is lost and gained
(what you gonna do about it, what you gonna say)
Something beautiful remains
Tears will leave no stain
Time will ease the pain
For every light that fades
Something beautiful remains
And you wonder sometimes how we carry on
When you've lost the love you knew
But it's alright, it's alright
To your own heart be true
