SUMMARY: Buffy needed a break and a brand new start… can she find it?

It was too much. It had become too much. How long could she defending people? She had put her life on hold for too long. She had taken on a kid sister to save the world. She gave up too many loves to count. She had even involved her friends to save Sunnydale. She died numerous times. So when was it ever enough? Buffy admitted that she hated turning her back on her Slayer ways but she wanted a normal life. She just wants to be Buffy Summers not Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

She remembered how Faith had a hard time fighting the good fight. Through everything Buffy encountered she now understood why. Buffy looked around and smiled. Rome seemed to fit her. She smiled as she noticed that no one looked at her as a savior or better yet their rescuer. Buffy loved her new found freedom. She was away from Spike. Things had gotten too weird with him. Spike was definitely no Angel. Angel definitely gave her security and love. Spike gave her excitement and lust. But Spike turned it around and tried to make something sexual into something he could not provide.

Buffy stepped into the club. It was unquestionably a hot spot. She noticed someone and for some reason she was instantly drawn to him. Like he was someone she needed to know who could provide her with the forgetfulness necessary to began again. Mentally, he spoke to her. I am the Immortal!” She smiled and made her way over to him. She was starting over again. She made a note to send for Dawn. Dawn was the last and only one she would be responsible for. She would not longer be anyone’s savior.
