Summary: Lillian’s reaction to Matt’s return on August 8, 2005
Author’s note: In response to Carolyn’s Lillian and Matt fan fiction challenge
********
Lillian sat and read over her notes. She had seen him for weeks now. She knew
he was there to get revenge on Adam. Amy was the last thing on his mind. She
was not sure where he stood with Lori. Lillian had a habit of showing her
excitement. But things were going to be different. She sipped her water and
almost choked as she smelt his cologne.
Lilian did not want to turn around but overheard him
talking with John Cena. She smiled to herself as he
mentioned that he looked forward to seeing and talking with Lillian. She made a
promise to act like she was announcing anyone else. It would be hard because
she cared differently for him than anyone else.
Matt walked to his locker. He knew he would not see Adam or Amy until it was a
necessary time. He had no words for Amy. He could not try to rekindle anything
with her. She refused to change the way she did things. He could not even think
straightly when confronted or anywhere near her or him. He wanted Adam dead. He
heard her laugh and then he smiled. He needed to see her. He moved and peeked
around the corner and saw Lillian talking with Stacy. He wanted to walk and
gingerly say hi. But he controlled himself.
Matt thought of Lori. She was upset that he had chosen to go back to the WWE.
Lori thought it was for Amy. Matt watched as Lillian walk away. He wanted a
second chance to try something. He could never be more than just her friend. He
had an idea and hopefully it would work.
****Later than night***
Lillian glanced at her cheat sheet and smiled. She knew that his match was
next. She took deep breaths and short ones. She moved into the ring. She
announced his stats and waited as he came to the ring. She even felt herself
blush her hoped her tan drowned it out but her smile would give her away. It
always did.
Matt entered the ring and performed his entrance. He glanced at Lillian. She
looked incredible… almost sweet enough for him to make a move. As Snitsky made his way to the ring, Matt leaned over and
asked, "Dinner later"
Lillian smiled and nodded. "Oh … if it is your treat?"
Matt acquiesced silently and smirked. "I wouldn’t want it any other
way."
