Jeff sat and thought through the events of the night. For him, it was more than words could describe. He was wrestling and it was exciting for him. He was a serious singles competitor. He was doing something on his one. He was building his nerves doe something else though. He had lost someone so special to him during his years of confusion. He couldn?t hold on to her and his wrestling dreams. She tried to hold onto her music and him but Jeff insisted for her to do her own thing? without him.

Jeff was looking forward to Friday. She was in Nashville working on some songs. From what he understood she was a writer trying to be a singer. She had lost her will to sing. But she could write beautiful songs. He remembered when she left. She told him, Love?s a stranger and it will pass you by!? Then barely a goodbye left her mouth. For some reason he watched as she packed her things. He remembered a New Edition song playing in the background. She tried to ignore Jeff. She wouldn?t look at him but Jeff noticed the tear as it slowly slid down her face. Jeff tried to suppress his tears as well. She was the one thing in life that he loved deeply.

Jeff tried to hold her. He tried to feel her touch. She would not acknowledge him as she moved towards the door. She paused and turned to face him. She leaned against the door frame, sighed and began: Jeff, I never wanted the stars. I never shot for the moon. I like them right where they are. All I wanted was you. So baby, just turn away because I can?t face the truth. All I?m trying to say is all I wanted was you. Jeff could not move ~ he tried to call to her but she left with a purpose. He tried to figure out why she went away. Why did she have to take the love ~ their love away? He tried to drown his sorrows and cast away the pity that others had placed on him. He began to drink but even the whiskey called her name.

Jeff bought her the finest of things ~ nice cars, diamonds, and almost anything with a price tag. He realized after she left she wasn?t with him for those things. He even wanted to paint the sky the color blue she wanted. Instead of building a home, he built fortress for her heart. He never allowed her to experience anything. He never realized that she was alone. He always made it party. He never grasped the concept of making a house a home until she left. Jeff looked at his guitar. It was the only thing she left behind. That?s probably why he began to play. He looked down at his watch. His flowers should be arriving right now.

She was sitting in her bay window. She was trying to write a song. She had so many ideas but nothing ever came together like she wanted it. She moved to Nashville because it seemed peaceful enough for her to be by herself and think things through. She missed him she would not and could not deny that. Nashville reminded her a lot of Cameron. The only thing missing was Jeff. She loves him with all her heart. She was about to head to the kitchen when the doorbell ring. She glanced at her watch. It wasn?t too late for company.

She was greeted by a man holding a huge bouquet of flowers. The assortment was truly beautiful. There were fire roses, pink and white calla lilies and so many other colorful flowers. As she signed for the flowers there was a single vine that caught her attention and she instantly knew it was from Jeff. She took the flowers and sat them on the table. She removed the card and opened the envelope. It was such a surprise to her that he even remembered her or much less knew where to send the flowers. She hesitated about reading the card. She smelled every flower then she read the card.

I never wanted the stars. I never shot for the moon. I like them right where they are. All I wanted was you. So baby, just turn to me because I now can face the truth. Don?t let love be a stranger ? we can?t let it pass us by. All I?m trying to say is all I wanted was you. Love always Jeff

Allison sat stunned? she wasn?t sure what to do or how to react. She had so many impulses and shockwaves running through her body. She noticed he had written his new cell number down. The only thing she debated on was whether to call him. It seemed so hard to actually pick up the phone. She knew he was either the one or close to it. She tried to fight the urge. But Jeff was all she ever wanted.

The last time i saw her
Was the night she said goodbye
She said that love's a stranger
And it's sure to pass you by
As she packed up her belongings
She wouldn't look me in the eye
But i could see a tear roll
Off her face
As we both tried so hard
Not to cry she said
I never wanted the stars
I never shot for the moon
I like them right where they are
All i wanted was you
So baby just turn away
Because i can't face the truth
All i'm trying to say
Is all i wanted was you
I tried so hard to remember
Where when how why love went away
I tried to drown myself in pity
But the whiskey kept calling your name
I bought you fancy cars and diamond rings
All the things that money brings
And the servants to paint the sky blue
And i worked so hard seven days a week
And built a fortress for your heart to keep
If i could i'd wrap these words up for you
I never wanted the stars
I never shot for the moon
I like them right where they are
All i wanted was you
So baby just turn away
Because i can't face the truth
All i'm trying to say
Is all i wanted was you
I may have built for you a dreamhouse
But never thought you were alone
I filled the party up with company
But never made our house a home
All i got is my guitar these chords and the truth
All i got is my guitar ... but all i want is you
